Perfect for southern ladies, this cape/poncho is exactly what you need to chase away chilly weather in style.  A mauve knit with subtle 'fur-effect' reverse is the base fabric on which texture-rich pieces from my stash shine accented with an oriental fimo-clay button.   The 'grey' fabric was made at my shop when water-soluble stabilizer was introduced - using a grid of cotton strips topped with yarn and threads, then free-motion embroidered all over.  This piece of fiber art is happy to finally have a place to be admired!  The maroon texture is a loose-weave raschel knit.  The mauve base fabric is reversible, but I used the non-furry side as the 'front' letting the interesting 'hairy' selvage show off at the lower edge.  The 'sleeve' edge and neckline are bound with the 'hairy' side of the fabric as the accent.   The stylish fimo clay button has endured gentle washing and is accented with an oriental coin - truly a collector's piece in and of itself.  I sold buttons like this for $30.

SIZE:  One Size fits all - though I 'see' it on a medium to large frame lady.
