Draped Black Velvet/Silver Shimmer Top - XL
 
This elegant top has a base made from a lovely microfiber velvet - which was actually a up-cycled pair of wide-legged pants.  The spectacular shimmer stripe is a very lightweight poly knit with silver Lurex threads that the light just 'plays' with.  I draped to design this top - aiming to achieve the very most 'shimmer' possible, and that turned out to be in soft folds.   The front velvet base right shoulder to hip drape is secured by hand to the front, and could be easily  moved to suit your figure.  The front is darted with side bustline darts for a great fit - though the 'fit' is atually covered with the beautiful front drapes.  A velvet binding finishes the neckline.  The sleeves are cut on the bias for great coomfort and feature 3" deep cuffs of the shimmer black/silver fabric.  
This is definintely a one-of-a-kind arment, that 'aged' for about 6  jonths as I played with it on my dressform in avaiilable time in my Studio.  I LOVE the outcome, and know the lucky person to add it to thir wardrobe will love it as well.  Based on finished garment measurements, I would call this a size XL.
