I promise...you won't find all of these design features AND great directions (written and spoken at the online Talking Pattern™ aspect of this design) anywhere in our sewing world - at least I couldn't!   With the help of professional design, drafting and grading according to my specifications, I am proud to offer this TERRIFIC 'T' Knit Top Talking Pattern™.   Tissue in the printed pattern version is professionally printed at McCall's and the PDF tiles included at the online aspect for those who purchase this pattern with electronic PDF delivery are professionally 'tiled' for EZ printing on your home printer using regular paper to tape together and trace off your selected size and features.

DESIGN FEATURES INCLUDE:

 YARDAGE REQUIREMENTS
Simple knit tops of this variety are usually made with commonly available knit fabric that comes in a width of 58"-60", a top will require the body length + the sleeve length + some for the neckline finish desired in yardage.  See pattern measurement ranges below to assist you in calculating yardage.  Lengths include a 1 1/4" hem allowance. FYI:  The 3XL top sewn up finishes at the back neck to hem at a length of approximately 24".
 Body Lengths (calculated with the extra length for the Darted Front).
The measurements given range from XS to 3XL and allow for reasonable 'crooked' store cutting.
XS - 28"   XL - 31"    Therefore, 7/8 yard will do all sizes for the Body Length.  That means for a sleeveless or Cap Sleeve knit top - 7/8 yard is ample.  Buy 1 yard and feel 'safe' and allow for neckline finish.  
Sleeve lengths to add to body length - the measurements given are the range from XS to 3XL
Short Sleeve:  9" - 13"
3/4 Sleeve:  16" - 18"
Full Length Sleeve:  25" - 28" 
Neckline Finishes require 2" to 7" in a crosswise strip.   For the very widest neckline finish and the 3XL with a full length Sleeve, 1 7/8 yard is ample.  
FYI:  4.5" = 1/8 yard
 
Recommended Notions:  Polyester garment construction thread - 2 spools,  75 Stretch Needle, Twin Stretch needle:  4.0/75,  rotary cutter, rulers, Lastin clear elastic, Vilene Extra Fine Fusing Tape, 1/4 yard of fusible knit interfacing.  More helpful notions are designated inside this pattern.
