EZ Cascading Necklines & Hems

Updated: Jun 1, 2022

As seen on It's Sew Easy TV - PBS series, in this video I show you how to create a cascading neckline, and the VERY popular drapey hemlines just like you see in ready-to-wear.

For more step-by-step details, see the 'Wings' section of my newest pattern: Trendy Tunic Tops.

Yes - it is really as easy as I show to create these flattering looks.

I'll never forget the SNOWSTORM in which I traveled and functioned to tape this episode last Feb. 2018 in Solon, OH. All of us 'designers' have such fun sharing escapades with each other though. From now on, when invited as a designer, I tape in the SUMMER since I'm now a southern gal and spoiled with everything shutting DOWN whenever that white stuff appears!

One other interesting thing to share: the green top I'm wearing in this episode is a 're-make'. I had made this top (neckline created with shirring as taught in my Sensational Shirring pattern) and also a Fajita Skirt. Since I was never wearing the skirt, I took the How-To's of what I teach in this episode and in my Trendy Tunic Tops pattern, and transformed the top into a longer tunic with the cascading hemline using the fabric in the rarely-worn skirt. The fabric is a Tencel - which I love, purchased from Vogue Fabric Store in Evanston, IL.
