We the People Striped Top with White Polo Collar - XL+ 
 
I had such fun with this up-cycle project!  Starting with a man's 2XL striped Polo shirt (which remains the lower portion), I added a yoke of one of our We the People of West TN T-shirts for the front and back yokes, and then 'played' with leftovers from other red and blue T-shirts to piece and create the sleeves.  I LOVE utilizing the collars of men's polo shirts - so one of those became the collar on this top, plus some of the hemlines to accent the lower edges of the yokes, front and back.  
It seemed that there needed to be some 'connecting factor' - which led me to my stash of yarns to couch.  The 'hairy' blue yarn was perfect, and provides that 'connection' to make this top cohesive and fun.  
The sleeves are 3/4 length, and hemmed with the lower edges of the original striped T-shirt.  With all the construction and piecing, the yoke area of this top is fim and stable, while the lower portion and sleeves are soft and 'flowy'.  
Godets (triangular pieces) further increase the lower circumference adding to the generous fit and flow.  
All materials have been prewashed before construction. 
Fiber Content:   Cotton/Poly
Care:  Machine wash cold wanter, hang to dry.  Gentle press.
