My 'Everyday
Me' and my Body Clone Dressform

In February 2004, 6 gals and
myself had a blast with expert Jean Haas
making our Duct Tape Doubles. Jean has
duct taped thousands of women over the last 10 years
developing and refining her patented
technique. There are copies out there, but this is
THE method!!! She keeps refining everything.
That is a knit tube cover over the duct tape form.
It's all on a rotating base. Those are
my arms, carefully measured and duplicated with
quilt batting. Can you see how EZ it is for me
to now tissue fit a pattern???!!! AND, I can
drape and design to my hearts' content. In my
'neck', that is the
Wool Wad Pincushion to handily store needed
pins: What an idea!!! Combined with
Fit for Real People by Palmer & Alto, you just
are determined to have the fit that is one of the
main reasons you sew in the first place.
Grab a friend and claim a day to do
this for yourself!
Better yet: talk your local fabric
shop owner into sponsoring Jean. She can be
reached at
www.dressformdesigning.com. Look for
Jean's series of articles in THREADS starting summer
of '04.
