Student Testimonials
"Along
with two friends, I attended
her class "Creative Sweatshirt
Jackets - Londa's Way" at the
AQS Quilt Show in Nashville.
This class was most
interesting and helpful. We
were even more excited about
sewing. Londa was in the
classroom before the appointed
time, passing some of her
sweatshirt jackets around, for
us to see and inspect. The
class also went past the
scheduled time for those who
could remain. She gives of
her time very generously. Her
experience and knowledge of
designing is most helpful in
making sweatshirt jackets. I
highly recommend her class if
you have the opportunity. "

"Thank you so much for your
presentation at the Martha
Pullen Sewing Market. My
favorite kind of sewing is
that which adds flair or
embellishment (in small doses
or great gobs, depending on
the result I want) to simple
garments. So your embellished
sweatshirt jackets were a real
delight.
First, your presentation is
excellent. You are upbeat and
bright and witty, bringing
life to your samples and
methods and materials. Your
class is interesting and
involving and I wanted to go
right home and try everything
you showed.
Then, your samples are
gorgeous and quickly give
those in the audience who had
never tried something of this
sort a real desire to own a
jacket like yours and the
knowledge that to own one,
they will have to make it
themselves as these are
definitely one of a kind
garments.
Your directions were so clear
and so easy to follow that I
could hardly wait to get home
and cut up a sweatshirt. You
also showed so many
interesting products that we
could use to embellish our
jackets that I had not seen
used before. I wanted to try
them all. And I did try to buy
many of them to bring home and
try.
So here I am today, with
Paintstiks® and felting
needles, fat quarters and
ribbons, a pigment dyed
sweatshirt and your CD of
methods and I am ready to go.
Thank you for a terrific
presentation.
By the way, on the first day
of the show, I began to hear
your name everywhere as soon
as you had completed your
first presentation. Word of
mouth spread fast and I almost
was unable to get in to one of
your groups since it seemed
that everyone at the Sewing
Market wanted to hear you.
Your must have been the most
talked about presenter there
this week. Congratulations.
And please come back to
Arlington. You were so
delightful."
