My daughters' wedding day on Saturday was glorious - and NO Rain!  Thanks for your kind thoughts and prayers.  Many of you emailed me with wishes and I can't begin to tell you how special that was for me!  Here is a pic of our family on the grand day.  That's my Mother in the wheel chair - who taught me to sew in the first place...ANd over on the right hand side is my dear son - without whom I certainly would not be doing all this website/technical computer stuff!  He has struck out as an entrepreneur himself now - so if you need any graphic work, program, ad, or website work for any reason, you can contact him at:   http://www.jeffrohlfing.com.  He is VERY artistic, good, and reasonable with his fees...ask me how I know!  He is responsible for all my DVD and CD covers, and has just edited my Ultimate DVD for Version 2 (soon to be available),and taped my newest DVD on Creative Embellishments for Creative Clothing...becoming available mid July.  These days - we all figure being your own boss is the safest way to go!  

Sewing is all about sharing - working with our hands in a way that imparts part of ourselves into our activities and with those we love...that's why I've made sharing my life with you part of my business.  It helps us 'connect' as people - and that IS what it's all about - in my humble opinion.

• Check out this BobbinTower!!!  I'm hoarding them for website and show sales - as I'm confident they'll be a runaway Best Seller!   Actually...I can see treating myself to 3 of them and organizing them as Neutrals, Warms, Cools,  etc.   Click HERE and you'll hop right over to these little marvels.  

Sewing Hint:  Speaking of bobbins - did you know..they can NOT be 'gushy' once wound?  That means...if you can easily stick your fingernail into the thread - you didn't adequately get the thread into the tension knob of the bobbin winding system.  Don't EVER use a 'mushy' bobbin.  Don't waste thread - at least try by putting that 'mushy bobbin' on the thread spindle and wind another bobbin with it.  

•   New Needles from Clover - which are flying out of here daily...  To find them, just use the great Search Tool on my site in the upper left hand corner, and put in 'black gold' and they'll come up as choices...

Elaine ...a customer says:  "These slide through the fabric like a hot knife through butter.  But better than that, I have a serious nickel allergy.  Finding needles that are safe for me to use has been a big problem.  Most needles have a nickel coating on them.  I have been using my black/gold needles every evening since they arrived with no adverse effects.  I plan on ordering more..."

DID YOU KNOW???  Hand needles and Machine Needles are sized exactly opposite!?!  Yep ...

• for Hand Needles, the higher the number the SMALLER the needle (AND eye!)
• for Machine Needles - the higher the number, the LARGER the needle (and eye)...
