Sew... along with this Memorial Day Weekend, Summer arrives! I've been privileged to enjoy the absolutely beautiful spring in a new way as I've traveled from coast to coast teaching and vending.  Hence, you've received very few newsy and valuable newsletters from this gal. Sorry! However, since my hubby has earned an 'A' filling orders while I'm gone, I hope to change that. Follow my BLOG. Sharing in that way also gets posted to my Facebook page and also 'TWEETS' at Twitter. Sew...please sign up to be fans at Facebook and Twitter.  I recently received this precious photo (and more) from the brand new sewing curriculum at Miracles in Action in Guatemala. This is the vocational school we support together through this website. Read more and how you can help, at my Blog at this POST.Â

Summer = READING for me for as long as I can remember. My personal favorite authors of the last few years: Robert Whitlow (attorney turned Christian author), Dave Jackson and his wife, Neta Jackson (the entire Yada Yada Sisterhood series), Karen Kingsbury - (for REAL life from a Christian viewpoint), and Chris Fabry (LOVED June Bug). Just 'google' for any of those names and their websites will jump up for you. Let me know what you think!  I devour books as I travel, fly, and don't sleep - on my KINDLE!
Odd Tip: When I was spray painting some metal pieces for my yard - it occurred to me to share the tip to ALWAYS turn the spray paint can upside down and spray til no paint comes out when you're done. This clears that tube of paint that could harden and render the remainder of the paint in that can useless!  OH!! Video Emails from me are coming! To be on the Video Email List, please go and sign up HERE. Â
For those of you who have family who have/are served in the military, let me thank you.  In our family only my Daddy - now 87, served in WWII.  Get this story: because he could type and play the saxophone, he never even touched a gun - not even in training! Every soldiers' experience is different, but oh, so precious to our country. Again - thank you for whatever your family has offered in service. I love Lifetime's Army Wives on Sunday night - which has given me a new appreciation for the lives of the families. Anyway - I value your sacrifice - truly! THANK YOU! If you have a husband, son, or daughter currently serving in the military - I offer to you FREE SHIPPING for USA Destinations for any order $20 or more placed yet today - or tomorrow, May 31, 2010. Honor system - use this code in the checkout process: servingusa (case sensitive - make it all lower case letters.) For wonderful, TRUE History of our country - I LOVE Glen Beck's Friday programs - 4:00 CST on Fox News. Regardless of your politics, this is valuable, important USA history.Â
Sew... that's it - some sewing, some hints, some recommendations, some thanks... what newsletters are all about I suppose. Â Have a SAFE summer!
Sewing hugs, Â
