Asparagus is peeking up in our garden, and the flower beds are showing off daffodils and crocus - but today here in Illinois, it is rainy and yucky.  True I guess:  April Showers bring May flowers....

Last week found myself and my super dooper helper, Cyndi, off to Cleveland to the Original Sewing & Quilting Expo.  These trips to vend in the markets and teach are always such fun - but hard work as well.  Proud Nana that I am, allow me to share a pic of my #1 grandson 'helper' (just turned 4) as we packed..

Show helper Cyndi and I always do the most creative thinking on the trip home - and this trip was no different.  I have firm plans now for a new Embellishment DVD, AND a DVD showing the creative experience of creating a couple of my sweatshirt jackets from beginning to end!  We have filming dates scheduled, and plans to release these new products in time for late September and fall shows! 

Those plans and others have made the decision to discontinue my first Creative Sweatshirt Jacket CD - originally $24.95 - but now just $9.50! Say - while sewing, packing orders, OR working on my website, I try to listen to programs of value, and one of my favorites is all the wonderful past programs at www.middayconnection.org.  Click HERE for a years' worth of past programs FREE for you!   Today I was listening while going to pick up my grandson from preschool, and heard the program about LOSS - the story of a couple who lost everything in a fire!  The especially intriguing thing was when the wife shared about how it was the fact that the extension cord to her quilting machine was taped to the floor (so they wouldn't trip over it!) was what caused the fire!  I didn't know that extension cords need to 'breathe' - therefore should NEVER BE TAPED DOWN!  Anyway - wanted to share that fact, and about this great website with wonderful, uplifting and informative archives of programming.
