  Just as the flower above was a bud and moved through it's 'seasons' of 'becoming' all that God planned for it to be  - I pray you each have had - or are still enjoying - the fruits of all your work and planning to enjoy the blessing of spending special time with family this Christmas and Holiday Season. I was blessed to read Gov. Huckabee's A Simple Christmas earlier in December, and doing so really helped me 'ease up' on all the 'should's that I 've saddled myself with in past years. Instead, my husband and I took time to help parents and children select gifts from donated things at a local shelter, and I also have a new heart for Salvation Army Bell Ringers - having stood for 4 hours in the bitter cold ringing the bell myself. That experience taught me alot about sacrifice, discomfort, and perserverance.  At Miracles in Action, the final donation I was able to make as a result of Creative Sweatshirt Jacket product sales will help set up the sewing and craft area of their new Vocational Center in Santa Cruz, Guatemala.  Read more about it at my Blog HERE. Â
There are SO many things we can do to make the world a better place with our sewing skills! Check with you local quilting guild, or American Sewing Guild.  Operation Santa through American Sewing Guild was part of Citizen Sam - sending 112,000 stuffed stockings with useable hygiene items for our soldiers. Pillowcases are also made for Ronald McDonald Houses. The list goes on and on - just Google for charity sewing projects! Wouldn't it be great if we all tithed 10% of our sewing time to worthy causes? Think of the difference in our world that could make!Â
Editing and taping new Audio for the Talking Versions of my 'Worthy' and 'Transformed' patterns is done - at least my part. Now my tech son and my printer have to do their thing - and then I can 'release' them! While being stuck on the computer, it occurred to me as working that I know a few quick tricks that my sewing friends might not know...
Instead of Edit - Copy - Paste, try these on a PC (in Mac, you hold down 'command' button instead of 'control') - Hold down 'control' button and hit 'a' to copy everything in a documentÂ
- Hold down 'control' button and hit 'c' to copy what you've highlighted
- Hold down 'control' button and hit 'v' to pasteÂ
- Hold down 'control' button and hit x to cut what you've highlighted
AND - this one has saved me MANY times.... - Hold down 'control' button and hit 'z' to UNDO what you just did - when you didn't mean to - and it works quite a few times to go backwards...Â
Increase the font size on your computer screen to prevent eye strain and headaches... - PC: Hold down 'control' button, shift button, and the 'plus equal' keyÂ
- Mac:Â Hold down 'command' button, shift button, and the 'plus equal' key
The replacement for USA Comfort Color Sweatshirts - from the same company - is almost here! There will be just 9 colors to start, but they will expand it to 30 pretty quickly. The fiber content will be 80% cotton, 20% polyester, the same as Authentic Pigment Sweatshirts - that people usually love the feel of.  At least this brand will be dyed in the USA, though manufactured in India - better than China, I guess.  My contact says the sizing will be the same, but I can't count on that until I measure them myself. THEN I can start work on the new 'Talking' version of 'Refined'. I'm supposed to get my first order about the 2nd week in January - so watch for the big news and ability to order as soon as I check them out FIRST!    Â
