Everything from an artist I truly admire: Amy Butler. Read more about this wonderful lady HERE, and you'll see what I mean.  I'm VERY excited to start stitching up some of Amy's wonderful bags, home accessories (what great gifts!) and even her simple clothing patterns.  Watch for my Londa's 2 Cents Worth..... After previewing several of her books and patterns, I am VERY impressed with the complete nature of her directions,. The presentation of everything makes them a treat to just 'read'! The books are useable stay-open spiral format inside of the beautiful binding. Accompanying patterns are in a lovely bound in envelope inside the front cover. I've placed my preview copy of Amy's Little Stitches for Little Ones on my 'Grandma wants to make' shelf! It is absolutely precious - and would be a wonderful gift for a new Mom with any desire at all to make things - experienced or not! Similarly, In Stitches is set aside as a wedding shower gift for my daughter (who knows how to sew - just doesn't do it right now). I"m sure as she 'feathers her new nest' that this book will be a real treasure.   Amy's 'fashion' is definitely exactly what we're seeing today as far as simplicity, a retro feel, and - as that daughter of mine (26) says - 'Now THAT is something I would make and WEAR!"  I think Amy might just be a real cog in the wheel of getting gals sewing again...see if you don't agree.Â
